Who is Femme Scum?
Femme Scum is the passion project of Rachel Buccilli, a woman-like animator and illustrator in Philadelphia. Her work is composed of cartoons and doodles, gags and gimmicks.
Working out of their studio in South Philly 2nd Rodeo Studio or in their self proclaimed "dinky" apartment, Buccilli enjoys depicting "heavily flawed feminine characters, working class drones, and anti-heroes- all while poking fun at the capitalist death machine we all live in."

Artist Statement
Rachel hosts and curates the movie club "Screwball Screenings" and other events at local bars and community hubs. She is currently preparing for her first solo show opening on first Friday in September at 2nd Rodeo Studio on Broad & Tasker.
